Film and television:

Who is not amused by the Colurful world of Film & Television. Most of us feel, if given an opportunity, we can work wonders in Film and Television Industry. Of all the aspects of Film & Television Industry, Action, Direction and Cinematography are the three main avenues of attractions. Actors in feature films and television serials have a great fan following and command high social status in the society. Moreover, career in this industry means lots of money and fame. But to mount the rungs of the ladder of this industry, one needs to be professionally trained in the concerned field.

Since a long time, the Cinema and Television Industries of Andhra Pradesh are struggling hard with a certain chronic and inherent illness. Severe dearth of Professional Training Colleges, imparting proper training to the new talent, has always been felt in the industry. Gone are the days of recognising the talent of a person by fluke chance. What we badly need in the present age of mushrooming Television Channels, are the creative, disciplined and commited artistes and technicians. The entry of fresh and trained talent is the only cure to the maladies of these media. But the subject of concern is - Where should we get fresh talent? Should we get them by sheer chance or should there be proper Training Institutes to tap and discipline the energies and talents of our young artistes of Andhra Pradesh? The answer is self-evident. The Film & Television Industry is on the look out for the entry of new professional talent.

In India there are three prominent Film & Television Institutes offering Professional Diploma courses in Acting, Editing, Direction & Screenplay, Photography etc.

1) Film & Television Institute of India, Pune, Maharashtra.

2) Film & Television Institute of Tamilnadu.

3) Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute of Calcutta.

There are a few Film & Television Institutes in the twin cities offering professional training to the young and enthusiastic aspirants of this filed. The main objective of these Film & Television Institutes is to bring out the dormant and intrinsic talents of the new entrants and convert them into professionals.

Distance education program:

Supposing you don't want to join a Junior College for financial or any other reason, here is a chance for you to further your qualifications through Distance Education. Several Universities and Institutions are offering Correspondence and Distance education programs for candidates with Matriculation or equivalent qualification.
